Samsung has launched Samsung Eternity A868 which is another touchscreen phone in its product list as Samsung has already launched many touchscreen phones. It looks similar to others at a glance with same price range, Normal full-face touchscreen look with same style of navigation buttons on the bottom, and same black shade.
It has 3 mega pixel camera that is crisp clear and takes high quality shots which is batter then many expensive standalone digital cameras in quality. Many cameras offer high resolution photos but the picture we get not free from noise, grain, and some times washed out. But Eternity works excellent in this field. But it has a drawback also that it don’t have flash facility. With a powerful camera which has 3x digital zoom, brightness control and camcorder you will feel a lack of flash. This sleek stylish phone is not suitable for businessman. With it you can talk to your friends, easily access the internet, and take high resolution picture but it is not for updating a spreadsheet and forwarding it.
Samsung Eternity is much lighter then other touchscreen phones like iPhone and Blackberry Storm with only 3.88 ounces. It is big enough to offer a large screen but very thin also that makes it easy to carry with. Eternity is lighter and slim then others but maintains a solid sturdy look of much heavier phone.
Samsung Eternity doesn’t have the facility of wifi connectivity but it offers 3G connection but it is also unstable sometimes. But when it works it is quite good. You can start browsing sites with its full web browsing capability. Like many other phones this also don’t have any flash based plug-ins to support games and some videos. But the included software suite is very powerful with onscreen QWERTY keyboard. It also doesn’t have the ease in zooming facility in the browser. It offers a little magnifying glass icon which is not quite good which makes it far less in comparison with iPhone’s eloquent solution.
It has many other features also like high performance personal information manager, handsfree speakerphone, voice dialing, AT&T Mobile TV, memory support up to 8GB, Bluetooth, built-in microSD™, AT&T Navigator, GPS-enabled turn-by-turn directions, maps, traffic updates and more. Over all it is a good phone for someone who wants a light sleek stylish full featured touchscreen phone to talk to his friends, access the internet, take high resolution picture and keep up with friends not for the business man. Business man may need some enterprise-oriented features which are not present in this smart phone. Over all this is a good smart phone for daily use.
